I love NPR’s On the Media. It examines the media in a serious and scholarly way while maintaining a sense of humor. Much of what keeps it so entertaining are the personalities behind the program, Brooke Gladstone and Bob Garfield. They personify a new crop of talent at NPR that has been able to turn a network once mocked for being staid and boring into one that is now known for programs that are engaging and fun, without losing any of the quality of information.
Now Brooke Gladstone is taking this effort to make information engaging one step further and to a new type of media: the graphic novel. She examines the media this time with the help of illustrator/cartoonist Josh Neufeld. You can see highlights of it here or get a copy here.
