Dramatic photos by Alan Highton from Environmental Graffiti’s gallery Venezuela’s Everlasting Lightning Storm. The photos were all taken in Venezuela’s Catatumbo Delta where the sky lights up over 250 nights a year and for up to ten hours at a stretch. Close to 300 lightning bolts can be produced in just one hour.
