Jelly Swarm is an interactive sculpture created through a collaboration between origami artist Joseph Wu and Vancouver-based Tangible Interaction. It is currently featured on display at the Vancouver Aquarium through Jan. 2.
About the piece:
Each jelly is illuminated by an LED module and changes color based upon interaction. The idea behind the show is to mimic the vibrant response system of the jellyfish found in the British Columbia coast. As such, the jellies are programmed to reflect light and respond to disturbances caused by human interaction.
